Starved by her drug-addicted parents over a period of 20 months, little Ebony deteriorated from a chubby 20kg girl in March 2006 to an emaciated wreck of a child who weighed just 9kg when she died in November 2007.

I am so glad such a horrible thing has been exposed.

And I wish more people would blog on this. This is horrific.

Neglect is "usual" -- which is a horrible state of affairs in itself. But the fact that the professionals who were supposed to be providing oversight didn't care about this child is infinitely worse.
